Position: Varsity Soccer Assistant Coach
Location: Newton Country Day School, Newton, MA
Season: Fall 2026 (Mid-August – Late October)
Stipend Range: $3,500-$4,500

Position Summary
Newton Country Day School seeks a committed and enthusiastic Varsity Soccer Assistant Coach to support the program during the fall 2026 season. The assistant coach will help execute practices, mentor student-athletes, and contribute to a team culture that is competitive, mission-driven, and developmentally aligned across all levels.

Key Responsibilities
– Support all aspects of practices and games with a focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, in alignment with the program from Varsity to Middle School.
– Mentor student-athletes across varying skill levels, encouraging courage and confidence, discipline, and growth.
– Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, and the Athletics Department.
– Willingness and ability to drive school vehicles for practices and competitions.
– Uphold and model the values of Sacred Heart education and the mission of Falcon Athletics, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all athletes.
– Complete other related duties as requested by the Director of Athletics.

Preferred Qualifications
– Playing or coaching experience in soccer (high school or collegiate level preferred).
– Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
– A passion for developing young women through sport.
– CPR/First Aid and SafeSport certifications (or willingness to complete prior to the season).
– CORI background check and fingerprinting required.
