Hours: 14.75 hours per week
Summary Description:
BB&N is seeking an After School Program Lead Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. The After
School Program Lead Teacher leads a team of teachers that works with school-age children (ages 4-13)
on the Lower School campus and are responsible for our after-school program’s day-to-day activities.
The Lead teacher will work to implement age-appropriate activities and provide a caring environment
where children are safe and secure.
Schedule:

Monday: 2:45 pm–5:30 pm

Tuesday: 2:45 pm–5:30 pm

Wednesday: 1:45 pm–5:30 pm
-
Thursday: 2:45 pm–5:30 pm
-
Friday: 2:45 pm–5:30 pm
-
2 hours per week for clerical work
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Directing and working with other After School Teachers.

Reporting and working with the Director of After School and Auxiliary Faculty.

Share in planning, implementing, and cleaning up activities.

Daily activities, including art projects, baking, and cooking, and physical activities on the

playground, reading, music, and games.

Maintain an orderly physical environment, which promotes the growth and development of children.

Help foster and facilitate play between children.

Develop and maintain a safe and supportive environment that responds to and supports the needs of each child.

Monitor schoolyard play to ensure safety.

Perform other duties as required.
Requirements, Skills, and Competencies:
The ideal candidate should have experience working with children. High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. In addition, the After School Teacher will demonstrate the following competencies:

Salary: $27.00 per hour
