Job Description:

Windham Woods School is seeking a qualified, enthusiastic Upper School Math Teacher to join our Upper School team. The position includes teaching mathematics courses to students in grades 9–12, including Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, and/or Pre-Calculus, depending on the candidate’s background and experience.

Responsibilities:

– Teach high school Math courses (e.g., Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus)
– Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
– Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
– Build strong relationships with students and families
– Collaborate with colleagues to support student growth and program development
– Incorporate experiential and applied learning opportunities into the curriculum
– Assess student progress and communicate effectively with families and staff

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field required
– Master’s degree preferred; Special Education background strongly valued
– Experience teaching high school Math preferred
– Strong content knowledge across high school mathematics disciplines
– Teaching certification/licensure preferred; teaching experience strongly preferred
– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
– Proven ability to engage and support diverse learners, with a strong emphasis on relationship-building
