About the Role

Tremont School, a small independent school serving middle and high school neurodivergent students, is seeking a creative and thoughtful Storytelling & Social Media Intern.

This role focuses on capturing and sharing authentic student experiences and helping shape the public voice of our neuroaffirming school community.

What You’ll Do

• Create and manage a weekly social media content calendar (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
• Write and draft posts, captions, and short-form storytelling content
• Support a weekly school newsletter and a monthly community newsletter
• Develop student and program stories (projects, performances, field experiences)
• Design simple graphics (Canva or similar tools)
• Assist with event promotion and documentation
• Track basic engagement metrics

What We’re Looking For

• Interest in marketing, communications, education, or nonprofit work
• Strong writing and storytelling skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms (especially Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
• Basic design skills (Canva or similar)
• Ability to work independently and follow through

Bonus (not required):

• Experience with Squarespace/website content management
• Experience with InDesign
• Photography, video, and/or analytics experience

Details

• Time commitment: ~10–12 hours/week (flexible)
• Location: Hybrid; some on-campus presence preferred
• Supervision: Regular check-ins with school leadership
• Academic credit: Available (we will coordinate with your program)
• Semester Stipend
