Summer at Rocky Hill seeks a qualified Lifeguard.

Located on 84 breathtaking waterfront acres along Narragansett Bay, we are looking for dedicated lifeguards to help
facilitate a summer "where learning meets adventure." From June 15 to August 21, you will play a vital role in ensuring
a safe, nurturing environment as campers ages 3 through Grade 11 explore our private shoreline and tide pools.
As a Rocky Hill lifeguard, you’ll be part of a reimagined summer program that values safety, excellence, and fun. You
will work alongside experienced educators and seasoned instructors, maintaining rigorous safety protocols to protect
our small camper groups while they enjoy the best of childhood at the water’s edge. If you are a safety-minded

Primary Job Functions:
- The Lifeguard primary job is to keep a safe waterfront and secondary to assist in the campers’ experience.
This means that the Lifeguards primary job function is to keep everyone safe. However, this does not mean,
the Lifeguard cannot interact and assist in the overall camp experience. - The Lifeguard is there to ensure all campers are abiding by waterfront rules and keeping all campers safe.
- The Lifeguard is to not go deeper than their knees when in the water, this is to assure proper view of the
water.
General Job Functions:
- Follow Camp Schedule.
- Follow all Emergency Protocols when an emergency occurs.
- Ensure all Campers are abiding by the summer camp’s rules and policies regarding the waterfront.
- Administer first aid at the waterfront as required, and partner with the School Nurse.
- Administer swim test to Sr. Mariners with prior approval from the Camp Director.
- Unlock/Lock the waterfront shed daily.
- Ensure all wildlife and sea life are returned to their habitat and that campers are being respectful of their
surroundings. - Ensure the cleanliness of the waterfront at the end of each day
- Assist with check-in and or pick-up procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned by the Camp Administration.
Must be 16+ years of age, able to work all nine weeks of camp and have a valid certification.
