Main Office Receptionist (Part-time)

Dedham Country Day School (DCD) seeks a well-qualified Main Office Receptionist to join the robust faculty and staff in our Pre-Kindergarten to grade 8 community for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a part-time position (10 hours a week) with a suggested schedule of 2.5 hours of work on Monday – Thursday.
Main Office Responsibilities:
- Manage DCD’s main office and lobby by serving and directing all students, employees, families, and visitors, and maintain building security
- Answer and direct all incoming phone calls
- Maintain a professional and well-kept front lobby and reception area, ensuring the space is inviting for visitors, especially in advance of school events
- Distribute incoming mail and deliveries to individuals at the school
- Maintain and document daily student attendance and coordinate late arrivals/early dismissals with faculty and staff
- Provide administrative support as needed (i.e. compiling packets, printing documents, etc.)
Strong candidates will have:
- A bachelor’s degree and related work experience
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, to ensure the privacy of students, families, and faculty & staff.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills with a willingness to provide strong customer service to visitors
- Preference for a proficiency with technology and Google Suite
