Lumen Academy is seeking a warm, patient, and organized individual to support students in our Learning Center during afternoon hours. This role involves working with students who have IEPs, as well as students attending study hall, to help them stay on track academically, manage their assignments, build executive function skills, and receive appropriate accommodations.

The Learning Center Support Specialist provides one-on-one and small-group support, reinforces classroom expectations, and helps students develop time management, organization, and self-regulation strategies. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with children, understands learning differences, and can create a calm, structured environment where students feel supported and capable.

Candidates should have experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or therapeutic setting, strong communication and organizational skills, and a compassionate, steady presence. A background in education, psychology, or special education is preferred but not required.

This is an afternoon position, Monday through Friday.
