Long Trail School is seeking an IB coordinator for the 26/27 school year to oversee the implementation, development, and management of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The IB coordinator will assist teachers in collaborating to maintain and develop IB-aligned curriculum, promote the IB program internally and externally, maintain documentation on program evolution, and act as the primary liaison with the International Baccalaureate Organization. In addition to their IB Coordinator duties, the ideal candidate will also teach up to 3 academic classes, be actively engaged in student life, and extracurricular activities. LTS desires a creative, dynamic individual who can share their passions with our students as we strive to provide them with rich, powerful educational experiences both in and out of the classroom.

  • Deep understanding of inquiry-based and interdisciplinary curriculum
  • Strong data management, planning, and administrative skills.
  • Desire and strength in promoting a positive school culture and objectives.
  • Experience teaching or serving as an administrator in an IB school.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee data and management of internal and external IB assessments.
  • In Collaboration with the Dean of Academics, guide students and families in understanding program requirements.
  • In Collaboration with the Dean of Faculty, work with teachers to ensure meaningful professional development
  • Ensure accuracy and submission of IB student data and analyze for areas of improvement.
  • Support student progress in the IB core components.
  • Hold task-oriented meetings to promote IB approaches to teaching and learning, facilitate collaborative planning, program organization, and program development plans.
