An independent school for girls in grades 6-12, inspired by the teachings of the Catholic Church, Montrose School was founded in 1979 and is located on a 14.5 acre campus in downtown Medfield, 17 miles southwest of Boston. Montrose School attracts a talented and growing student population from 50 towns and communities.

Montrose seeks an experienced teacher of History to teach Upper School history including AP US History starting in August 2022. The ideal candidate for this position possesses exceptional intellectual curiosity and skill in leading seminars investigating primary texts, as well as experience with project-based learning. Teachers at Montrose model an inquiry-based classroom and are adept at the teaching and development of critical reading and analytical writing skills while working in a robust collegial liberal arts environment. Candidates must also have proficiency and comfort with technology and delivering blended learning. Strong applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree is preferred, at least three years of classroom experience, and an appreciation for all-girls’ education. Our teachers are mentors and coaches who foster and model a growth mindset and continue to grow in their teaching practice.
