Burr and Burton Academy seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated full-time science teacher who has the skills and flexibility to teach a range of physical science classes to a diverse set of learners, beginning August 2026. Candidates should be well-versed in inquiry-based pedagogy, Next Generation Science Standards, and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). Applicants should also have experience facilitating laboratory work with all levels of high school students, and be dedicated to professional growth and collaborative curricular design. The science department currently employs a physics-first curriculum in which students progress to chemistry and then biology. An ability to teach physical sciences is an asset to the team, as is a background in earth/space science. Teaching assignments will be based on the candidate’s strengths and interests in the context of current staff.
