
Front Desk Assistant

POSITION AVAILABLE: Front Desk Assistant, part-time, 12PM – 5PM, M-F, Beginning March 27, 2023
DESCRIPTION:
The Front Desk Assistant is a dynamic individual who welcomes and supports faculty, parents, visitors, and students to the school. As the first point of contact for people entering the building, your primary priority is creating a positive, customer-service atmosphere in the lobby. The Front Desk Assistant helps support the safety and ever-changing day-to-day logistics that go into running the school. Reports to the Director of Auxiliary Programs.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Possess excellent multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Exude a customer service attitude
- Proficiency in Google Suite and with office equipment (e.g. printers, phones, etc.)
- Ability to be resourceful, flexible, and proactive when issues arise
- Positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to stretch one’s comfort zone
Reception Duties
- Manage the flow of guests into the building, greet all visitors and direct them accordingly
- Maintain school security by following safety procedures and controlling building access
- Answer lobby phones, respond and redirect all emails and phone calls promptly
- Maintain lobby appearance (package distribution, etc.)
After School Responsibilities
- Manage reception during ASP hours (12pm-5pm, M-F)
- Keep accurate attendance records. Sign students in and out from all after-school programs including private lessons, enrichment classes, and after-school care
- Communicate with parents and teachers regarding daily schedule, including:
- Communication about canceled lessons and any make-up date notifications
- Communication regarding registration discrepancies and schedule changes
- Support After School and classroom teachers when needed
- Aid Auxiliary Programs including reserving transportation and programmatic spaces
- Track missed days and make-up enrichments and lessons
- Manage any discrepancies in registrations
- Support daily operations as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS degree preferred
- Minimum of 1 year working experience with a customer service focus
