Position Summary

The Enrollment Manager – Admissions and Onboarding is dedicated fully to admissions and has shared responsibility for the day-to-day health and movement of Catholic Memorial’s enrollment funnel, from initial market outreach through application completion, admissions events, applicant evaluation, yield, and the transition of newly enrolled families into the school community. The position provides day-to-day leadership for the processes and experiences that convert interest into completed applications and admitted students into enrolled students.

Reporting directly to the Vice-President of Enrollment Management, this position works collaboratively across Catholic Memorial to ensure that enrollment, student and family experience, and institutional priorities remain aligned with the School’s mission and long-term strength.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations and strategy for filling and advancing the admissions funnel, with clear attention to inquiry generation, application starts, application completion, and enrollment targets.
  • Plan and coordinate outreach to feeder schools, community partners, fairs, prospective families, and priority markets in collaboration with the Director of Enrollment Success.
  • Track funnel conversion by grade, geography, feeder school, demographic characteristics, and other relevant indicators; identify areas requiring additional outreach or intervention.
  • Develop systematic follow-up for families who begin but do not complete applications and ensure that promising prospective families do not fall out of the process without intentional contact.
  • Coordinate recruitment calendars and help ensure effective deployment of the full admissions team.

Admissions Events & Applicant Evaluation

  • Provide day-to-day leadership for admissions events, including open houses, information nights, shadow/visit programs, accepted-student events, and other recruitment experiences.
  • Coordinate the applicant reading process, including calendars, file readiness, reader assignments, deadlines, quality control, and preparation for admissions committee meetings.
  • Conduct tours, interviews, school visits, fairs, outreach, applicant reading, and other core admissions work alongside the full team.
  • Partner with Operations & Systems to ensure that event registration, applicant records, communications, and reporting are accurate and timely.

Yield & Newly Enrolled Family Onboarding

  • Lead the annual yield process from decision release through enrollment, including accepted-family communications, events, individual follow-up, ambassador connections, and tracking of undecided families.
  • Develop segmented yield strategies based on family priorities, competing schools, financial aid, geography, program interests, and other relevant factors.
  • Coordinate the handoff from admitted/enrolled family to current family, ensuring that orientation, summer communications, placement processes, and key transition milestones are clear and welcoming.
  • Partner with the Student Success and Family Engagement Enrollment Managers to ensure that information learned during admissions appropriately informs the student and family onboarding experience.
  • Analyze yield results and reasons for non-matriculation and recommend changes to recruitment, messaging, programming, and process for the following cycle.

Admissions Team Contribution

  • Contribute to tour language, marketing and recruitment materials, market research, admissions policy, and continuous improvement of the prospective-family experience.
  • Model a highly responsive, relational approach to enrollment work that reflects Catholic Memorial’s commitment to knowing students and families well.
  • Maintain a visible presence at school and admissions events, including evenings and weekends during peak recruitment and yield periods.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree or substantial relevant experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in independent, Catholic, private, enrollment, advancement, student-life, or related relationship-centered work.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and the ability to articulate and advance Catholic Memorial’s mission.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build trust with students and families.
  • Strong organizational judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, events, and confidential information.
  • Comfort using enrollment systems, data, dashboards, survey feedback, and other evidence to guide decisions and follow-up.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across academic, student-life, communications, finance, and administrative teams.
  • Willingness and ability to maintain a robust presence at admissions and school events, including evenings and weekends.
