Title: Director of Community, Culture, and Equity
Reports to: Principal
Annual Salary Range: $85,000+
Xaverian is an independent Catholic school for boys in grades 7-12, sponsored by the Xaverian
Brothers. Located in Westwood, Massachusetts, this college-prep school welcomes students
from approximately 90 communities across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Xaverian was
established in 1963 and presently enrolls over 980 students.
General Expectations:
Xaverian is seeking applications for a full-time Director of Community, Culture, and Equity. The
Director of the Office for Community, Culture, and Equity fosters a strong, connected, and
inclusive school community rooted in Xaverian’s Catholic mission and values. Grounded in the
Gospel call to uphold the dignity of every person, the Director works to cultivate a culture of
belonging, respect, compassion, and shared responsibility among students, families, faculty,
and staff. Reporting directly to the Principal and collaborating closely with the Office of Student
Life, the Director works to strengthen relationships, promote meaningful dialogue, and enhance
school culture and climate. This role develops and implements a strategic vision that centers
community-building and faith-informed inclusion across all aspects of school life, integrating
practices that reflect Catholic social teaching and the Xaverian charism. In partnership with
admissions and academic departments, the Director supports the recruitment and retention of a
diverse student body and advances culturally responsive, community-centered teaching
practices, while serving as an advising member to school leadership groups and fulfilling
additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.
