Austin Preparatory School, located in Reading, Massachusetts—approximately 15 miles north of Boston—is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Associate Director of Marketing & Communications. Founded in 1961, Austin Prep is an independent, co-educational Catholic day school in the Augustinian tradition, serving more than 800 students in grades 6–12.

Austin Prep seeks a strategic, collaborative, and accomplished communicator to serve as Associate Director of Marketing & Communications. This full-time, 12-month position reports to the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer.

As a core member of the Marketing & Communications team, the Associate Director advances the school’s enrollment, engagement, and fundraising goals through integrated, data-informed marketing initiatives that strengthen Austin Prep’s visibility, reputation, and mission-driven impact.

The Associate Director leads the development and refinement of digital and print content, including articles, features, web copy, and institutional marketing materials. Serving as the school’s lead writing and editorial resource, this role shapes messaging across Austin Prep’s primary communication channels—web, email, print, social media, and institutional publications—ensuring consistency in voice, tone, and brand alignment.

Working closely with Admissions, Development, and faculty and staff, the Associate Director contributes to the planning and execution of comprehensive marketing campaigns that support strategic priorities. This role translates institutional goals into compelling, audience-centered messaging that resonates with prospective families, current parents, alumni, donors, and the broader community, while elevating Austin Prep’s distinctive Augustinian mission and academic excellence.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience (education preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism, or related field
• Demonstrated excellence in writing, editing, and integrated marketing initiatives
