Greetings from St. Mark’s School in Southborough! We’re excited to invite educators to join us for a special screening of the award-winning documentary Counted Out! 

In the 21st century, math impacts so many aspects of our lives— and our democracy. Counted Out asks us to consider how we as educators of any subject think about math education and numeracy in our schools. This film by Vicki Abeles has been garnering a great deal of attention in the education world, but it isn’t freely available to the public. Therefore, we wanted to invite educators from around the area, especially you and your colleagues, to join St. Mark’s educators for a special screening of the film.  

There is no cost to attend. Because of our licensing agreement, we can only allow attendees with tickets to join us, but tickets are free and can be found here, using the code JoinUs. Here are some details to share with your colleagues: 

What? A free screening of the 90-minute documentary Counted Out, followed by light refreshments and informal discussion with other educators.

When? Sunday, March 30. 2:00 p.m., film screening; 3:30 p.m., refreshments and informal discussion.
