AISNE Member Schools

At Amherst Montessori, your child won’t just be joining a classroom. Your family will be stepping into a safe and supportive community, a place where you belong. Our story started in 1970. The school first opened its doors in September of that year and we ran a one-room school out of a local church basement. Over the years, the school moved around to different rental spaces before moving to our current location in 1986 and moving into our current school building in 2013. Our community of teachers and support staff are one of our greatest strengths. With years of teaching, and specifically Montessori teaching, experience, our teachers are committed to getting to know each child, so that they can support their unique learning needs.
