Title: Assistant Athletic Director

Annual Salary Range: $60,000 – $90,000 dependent upon experience

Xaverian is an independent Catholic school for boys in grades 7-12, sponsored by the Xaverian Brothers. Located in Westwood, Massachusetts, this college-prep school welcomes students from approximately 90 communities across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Xaverian was established in 1963 and presently enrolls over 980 students.

General Expectations: Xaverian is seeking applications for a full-time, Assistant Athletic Director. The Assistant Athletic Director will work closely with the Principal and the Athletic Director to help lead the school’s athletic program and ensure that each student athlete appropriately benefits through his participation in interscholastic athletics. The Assistant Athletic Director will promote extracurricular athletic activity grounded in the school’s mission that fosters skill development, sportsmanship, understanding sports, and appreciation of being a team member. Candidates should understand the mission of Xaverian Brothers High School and Catholic education, exemplify good moral character and integrity, and exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate with students, faculty, staff, administration, and parents. A working knowledge of educational athletics, including all Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) rules and regulations, and all pertinent NCAA rules and regulations, especially those concerned with NCAA eligibility, is preferred. Candidates should also possess a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management or other related field from an accredited college or university. The position includes teaching some sections of middle school physical education/wellness. This is an 11-month position.
