Director of Community and Belonging (Summer)

Wolfeboro Camp School, Wolfeboro, NH

Reporting to the Dean of Students, this position is responsible for promoting and designing an intentionally inclusive student experience through programming, community traditions, and daily campus culture. The role also carries responsibility for capturing and sharing the Wolfeboro Experience externally.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Throughout the summer, develop and execute DEIB programming for faculty, staff, and students.
    • Run a session for Residential Advisors and full faculty and staff during their orientation
    • Develop programming for Borg and Ferris students on community days (first and third Wednesdays)
    • As needed, provide ongoing check-ins with Residential Advisors during full staff meetings or by campus
    • Provide ongoing guidance for Teaching Faculty
    • Develop additional programming for students as needs are identified.
  • Organize and run All-School Meeting
    • Setting an agenda, creating a joyful environment, and preparing for weekly awards and recognitions.
    • Collaborate with Assistant Campus Heads to plan activities for the Wolfeboro Cup
  • Capture content and create posts for social media during the session.
  • Plan and execute weekly theme dinners.
  • Collaborate with International Student Coordinator to provide support for international students.
  • Attend daily administrative meeting as needed
  • With initial support from the Dean of Students, lead daily Director Meeting to ensure alignment and inclusion within the student experience.
  • Plan and execute orientation for Two-Week Cohort (July 15 and 16)

As a Director:

  • Evening Bells (one night per week and one Sunday per session)
  • Supervise meal dish duty/community service. Assist with Sunday Brunch set-up and breakdown
  • Serve on the Weather Watch Rotation
  • Serve as trip leader on two off-campus trips and assist in departure of off-campus trips
  • Participate in execution of Arrival and Departure Day events

Timetable:

  • Residential Leadership Team Meeting/Begin Work June 22 (9 am)
  • Students Arrive July 1
  • Students Depart August 5
  • Depart Campus By August 7

Qualifications:

  • We are looking to add a collaborative, thoughtful, patient, and intentional educator to join our team.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience leading DEIB initiatives
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in schools
