Job Title: Substitute Teacher

Overview of Position:
The substitute teacher’s primary role is to work in the absence of the regular class or subject teacher.
They will work from lesson plans provided by the class teacher to aid students in understanding subject
matter and ensure effective discipline and class control.
This is an hourly, as-needed, and on-call position. This position can accommodate varying schedules and
availability. Hourly rate commensurate with experience.

We have substitution positions available in our Early Childhood programs (nursery/preschool and
kindergarten) as well as Grades 1-5.

Minimum Qualifications
● Interest in Waldorf education
● At least one year teaching or working with children in an educational setting
● Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university
● Prior experience teaching
