
Residential and Student Life Coordinator for International Program

Burr and Burton Academy in Manchester, Vermont seeks a Residential and Student Life Coordinator for its international program. The Residential and Student Life Coordinator plays a vital role in fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive living and learning environment for Burr and Burton’s diverse community of approximately 50 international boarding students in grades 9-12. The Residential Life Coordinator is a dorm parent and an active participant in the residential life program, supporting the overall administrative and supervisory needs of students and the residential life staff.
The Coordinator serves as a mentor, role model, and resource for students as they navigate both academic and personal development during their time at Burr and Burton. This position requires a culturally responsive and student-centered approach, with a focus on community- building, personal growth, and well-being.
The ideal candidate is a responsible, energetic, and caring professional who demonstrates strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills, and a deep commitment to supporting adolescents in a multicultural environment. As a live-in professional, the Coordinator understands the unique challenges international students face (language barriers, homesickness, cultural adjustment) and has the ability to support students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. The Coordinator assists with all aspects of residential life operations: staff training, scheduling, and evaluation. policy and procedure review, development, and implementation. activities-planning and community-building.
