Eagle Hill School, an independent boarding school in Hardwick, Massachusetts, seeks a mathematics teacher to join the faculty for the 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidate will hold a degree in mathematics and demonstrate an innovative approach to curriculum design and instruction. The position will include responsibility for teaching a variety of levels of high school mathematics.  Eagle Hill School seeks educators who are eager to participate in the academic, athletic, and co-curricular activities of an innovative and engaging boarding school community.

Responsibilities:

  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to motivate and inspire students in mathematics.
  • Use a mathematics curriculum to teach content that may include – Basic Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.
  • Incorporate technology and other resources to enhance student learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continually revise and implement the curriculum to adjust to diverse learners.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues about student progress.
  • Engage in the boarding school community and co-curricular programs as well as provide inspirational and innovative education in the classroom setting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in mathematics.
  • Readiness to teach all levels of mathematics.
  • Support students as they solve problems and think critically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
