Eagle Hill School, an independent boarding school in Hardwick, Massachusetts, seeks a history teacher to join the faculty for the 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidate will hold a degree in history or education and demonstrate an innovative approach to curriculum design and instruction. Responsibilities:

  • Teaching a variety of high school history courses, including the eighth-grade courses in social studies.
  • Incorporate technology and other resources to enhance student learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continually revise and implement the curriculum to adjust to diverse learners.
  • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues about student progress.
  • Engage in the boarding school community and co-curricular programs as well as provide inspirational and innovative education in the classroom setting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher).
  • Readiness to teach all levels of history.
  • Support students as they solve problems and think critically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Relevant experience preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
