Tremont School is a small independent day school for grades 5-12 and post graduates located in Concord, MA. The role:

Tremont School is looking for a High School mathematics substitute teacher beginning in early December and continuing through mid-January.  

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and student support for three courses and student support:  Integrated Math, Pre-Calculus, Calculus and small group/1:1 independent study in math 
• Co-advise a small group of high school students
• Provide supervision and support for students during assigned lunch, break and “Contract” time (study hall)
• While lesson plans and materials will be provided, the ideal candidate has broad capacity to guide and teach various math topics as part of a collaborative and supportive team. 

Qualifications:

• An understanding of and commitment to Tremont School’s mission and vision

• Experience teaching adolescents, ideally those with a range of learning profiles

• Experience with high school mathematics instruction; thematic and integrated learning a plus
• An ability to discern students strengths and challenges; to build on strengths and to support challenges to help students advance their work
• Strong team player and collaborator
• Bachelor’s degree required, graduate degree a plus
• Salary and benefits commensurate with experience
