Dedham Country Day School (DCD) seeks a well-qualified Dishwasher/Utility Worker reporting to the Head Chef to join the food services team. This individual is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment, dishes, and dining areas. This role supports the daily operations of the school’s kitchen and dining services, helping to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing equipment
Maintain kitchen work areas and keep equipment and utensils clean and orderly
Sweep and mop floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
Distribute supplies, utensils, and other equipment as needed
Comply with and follow health and safety standards that include outlined sanitation and safety requirements
Take out trash and recycling, following proper procedures
Assist in receiving, unpacking, and organizing food and supply deliveries
Perform other duties as assigned

Strong candidates will have:
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food service setting is preferred, but not required
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
Dependability and ability to work well as part of a team
Within the first 30 days of employment, a ServSafe Manager Certificate will be required
Ability to pass pre-placement physical
Ability to pass Cori & Sori checks and fingerprinting process
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb and stand for extended periods throughout the work day
