Position Summary:

This position reports to the Assistant Head of School for Strategy and Operations and is responsible for the implementation, and management of all technology initiatives across the school’s three campuses. This role requires a hands-on leader with a balance of management experience combined with a strong technical background and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance teaching, learning, and administrative operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a technology strategy aligned with the school’s mission and goals.
  • Build and lead a high-performing technology team
  • In conjunction with the Managed Services Provider, oversee the management and maintenance of all technology. infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.
  • Manage Google Workspace environment, including user provisioning, security, and compliance.
  • With the input from academic leadership, evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance operations and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and provide solutions.
  • Alongside the Instructional Technology team, integrate technology effectively into the curriculum and administrative processes.
  • Prepare and manage the IT budget, procure hardware and software, and negotiate contracts.
  • Ensure the security and privacy of school data and systems.
  • Stay current with developments in networking technology and industry best practices.
  • Provide both hardware and software technical support to faculty, staff, and students as needed
  • Manage technology projects from inception to completion.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and manage the performance of managed services.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a technology leadership role in an educational setting.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a technical team.
  • Strong understanding of educational technology trends and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Demonstrated ability in building, managing and motivating teams
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills and strong commitment to customer service
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
