Summary  

Nashoba Brooks School seeks candidates for the position of director of finance. The director of finance is a full-time, 12-month position who reports to the head of school and is responsible for the overall management of the School’s financial resources with an operating budget of approximately $10M. The director of finance is also responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the day-to-day management of human resources and business functions of the School and direct supervision of the Human Resources Specialist and Finance Assistant. Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• 3+ years of management experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial planning policies, procedures, practices, as well as accounting and payroll software programs.
• Experience in an independent school or nonprofit environment is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, problem solving, and presentation skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a fast-pace, high-performing team.
• Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail. 
• Interest and ability to engage as an active member of a school community.
