Open Position: Maternity Leave Teacher Substitute
We are actively seeking a passionate and dedicated maternity leave teacher substitute to join our vibrant community from now through the end of the school year in June 2025. Candidate Qualifications:
AMI or AMS Montessori diploma at the Children’s House level (3-6)
At least three years of Montessori teaching experience is preferred.
Understand and embody Montessori pedagogy and effective theoretical application.
Flexibility in addressing students’ needs.
Positive classroom management techniques

Located within a half-mile of Boston city limits, the school enjoys a rich cultural and geographic diversity in a natural setting, situated between a 7,000-acre nature preserve and The Wakefield Estate, a 23-acre arboretum with livestock and specimen gardens that our students visit every week. Each of our six classrooms, housed in a 1989 building designed for Montessori education, is led by a Montessori-trained teacher assisted by a second faculty member. The school is AISNE and AMS accredited for all ages and recognized at the 3-6 level by AMI.
