Overview:

The Fenn School seeks a dynamic, experienced admission professional to serve as Associate Director of Admission who is responsible for leading and implementing recruitment strategy. This full-time, 12-month position is ideal for someone with approximately 5–10 years of experience in independent school or higher education admissions, enrollment management, or a related field. Reporting directly to the Director of Admission and Financial Aid, the Associate Director plays a key role in the development and execution of strategic enrollment initiatives, namely marketing and recruiting. The ideal candidate brings a track record of results, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for working with students and families.

Preferred start: August 1, 2025

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate recruitment strategies within the School’s catchment area
  • Monitor recruitment progress, analyze data, report on key metrics to use this data to assess the effectiveness of recruitment efforts 
  • Lead the design and execution of recruitment marketing and communication strategies, including:
    • Serving as project manager for key admission marketing initiatives, coordinating with internal and external partners
    • Sequencing of print, email, and social media campaigns across the enrollment funnel
  • Supervise Fenn’s Parent Outreach Partners (POP) ambassador program, including onboarding, training, and engagement of current families to support prospective family outreach
  • Contribute to team efforts including serving as a lead ambassador for Fenn’s mission and programs through high-impact tours, interviews, and family engagement
  • Plan and staff off-campus admissions receptions in key enrollment markets, including coordination of venues, host families, and follow-up
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective families, feeder school professionals, and community partners in assigned cities/towns
  • Represent the school at local, regional, and national admissions events and recruitment fairs
  • Participate actively in admission committee deliberations and decision-making by evaluating admission applications with keen insight into academic and social-emotional readiness
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify student ambassadors and support cross-functional admission initiatives
  • Contribute to the broader school community, with potential teaching, coaching, or advising opportunities available depending on interest and expertise
  • Support the Director of Admission and Financial Aid in ongoing strategic planning, data reporting, and process improvement

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; experience in education, marketing/communications, sales, or enrollment management a plus
  • Approximately 5–10 years of experience in independent school admissions, higher education enrollment, or a related field preferred
  • A collegial team player with a growth mindset, strong emotional intelligence, and deep empathy for families navigating school decisions
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic recruitment initiatives
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to track, analyze, and utilize data to inform strategic decisions
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency
  • Experience with CRM systems and communication platforms; comfort with data and performance metrics
  • Willingness to travel, including occasional evenings and weekends
  • Enthusiasm for working in an all-boys day school community serving students in grades 4–9 and the embrace of Fenn’s mission, philosophy, and values
