
High School Counselor
Burr and Burton Academy, Manchester, VT
Burr and Burton Academy seeks a full-time school counselor, beginning August 2025. Candidates must be knowledgeable about and have experience guiding high school students in developing academic, career, and personal goals, as well as post-high school plans. Primary responsibilities include advising students, designing programs, collaborating with faculty and staff, supporting families, building relationships with colleges and universities, and overseeing college applications. Ideal candidates have a degree in school counseling or a related field, are collaborative team players, enjoy working with teenagers, and have strong organizational, technological, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Founded in 1829, Burr and Burton Academy (BBA) is an independent, coeducational Vermont high school with a public mission. It serves as the school of choice for nearly 800 students who come from Manchester, surrounding communities, and countries overseas.
