Montrose School seeks to appoint a Math Learning Support tutor for fifteen (15) hours per week to join our established Academic Support team. The leave coverage stretches from the start of January, 2025 through the middle of April, 2025. There is potential for a successful candidate to be considered for continued employment.
The successful candidate will be an experienced math tutor or teacher of math with strong knowledge of middle and upper school math subjects through PreCalculus — experience with Statistics a plus.
The candidate will bring a passion and enthusiasm for helping adolescent girls achieve a high level of proficiency in math, eagerness for working one-on-one or with small groups of students and work collegially and cooperatively with current math faculty to fortify student skill and understanding as well as help in some supervisory duties. Sensitivity to the anxiety and confidence needs of struggling math students is essential.
