Andover School of Montessori is seeking a passionate and dynamic Mandarin Teacher for our summer program. The ideal candidate will inspire our students through engaging and interactive lessons, fostering a love for the Chinese language and culture. Our summer program emphasizes hands-on learning and encourages students to develop their language skills in a stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement an interactive curriculum tailored for students in grades 1-3 for the first four weeks, followed by grades 4-6 for the remaining four weeks.

– Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate games, songs, and cultural activities to make learning Mandarin enjoyable and effective.

– Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and language use.

– Collaborate with fellow teaching staff to ensure a cohesive summer program experience.

Qualifications:

– Demonstrated proficiency in Mandarin (both written and spoken) and the ability to teach to a variety of learning styles.

– Experience teaching language to children, preferably in a Montessori or similar educational environment.

– Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere.

– Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching and learning.

– Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and students.
