Tremont School, conveniently located right off of Rt2A in Concord, MA, is accepting applications to join our substitute pool for the 2024 – 2025 academic year.  Substitute scheduling is based on substitute availability and may be the night before or same-day as assignment. Tremont School Substitute teachers cover faculty classroom absences on a half or full day basis as needed. 

On-Call Per Diem Substitute Teachers receive:

• 2-hour (paid) onboarding orientation combined with ongoing training aimed at gaining exposure to all classrooms to understand Tremont’s pedagogy and student routines
• Excellent system of communication with teachers to ensure you achieve success
• Detailed sub plans and always a friendly teacher close by to answer any questions you may have
• A strong feeling of collaboration and respect among Tremont’s faculty, leaders and staff members. 

Qualifications:

• Successful candidates will have some experience working with adolescents in either a school, camp, athletic setting, or comparable. Experience working with neurodivergent students is a plus. 
• Successful candidates will have a positive and kind demeanor as well as effective and respectful class management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Substitute teachers are expected to deliver lessons prepared by Tremont School faculty, organize the classroom environment, and establish routines that support students’ learning and well being. 
• Additional duties may be assigned, including lunch/recess and dismissal.
