Job Duties & Responsibilities

A core part of Acera’s program is our ability and readiness-based math block model. We initiate each school year with a careful placement process to ensure that students are placed in classes based upon their ability without limits due to curricula or age.

We seek to hire math educators to lead at least one multi-age class of gifted Lower or Upper School students. We are looking for someone who can challenge students and get them to approach math with joy, logic, and grit. These are students who are learning above grade level, which means there is freedom to include enrichment topics and topics outside of the standard curriculum. You should provide opportunities to creatively tackle new problems, explore patterns, and develop higher-level math thinking. We do not give grades at Acera; instead, we give frequent
