Tower School is an independent Beginners–8th grade school located in Marblehead, MA. Our mission is to teach our students to think critically and creatively, to develop joyful curiosity, to embrace challenge and apply their knowledge with confidence, and to thrive within a community rich with diverse perspectives and talents.

Tower is hiring a full-time, enthusiastic, collaborative, and experienced second-grade teacher to start in August 2024. 

Preferred candidates will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years teaching experience in the range of grades 1-4 
  • Teaching experience with: 
    • Responsive Classroom
    • A balanced literacy approach
      • Experience with Wilson Reading Systems and/or Orton-Gillingham
    • Singapore Math/Math In Focus
    • Multi-disciplinary curriculum
  • Experience teaching and planning as part of a professional team
  • Experience with formal and informal assessments
  • A Master’s degree in Elementary education 

Tower seeks teaching faculty who demonstrate an interest in participating fully in the life and activities of a highly engaging elementary and middle school and will contribute to furthering Tower’s mission. Successful candidates will exhibit a strong work ethic, a sense of humor, well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to inspire young people.
