We are seeking a fun loving individual who has experience working with children from ages 4 to 10. While you are working with the students the teacher will be in or out of the classroom. You must be able to teach independently while maintaining the joy of learning and safe classroom practices. Our classrooms have 10 to 14 students.

Qualifications:
– Prior experience working with children in a school setting
– Knowledge of classroom management – Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure consistency in program delivery. – Ability to maintain a safe classroom environment
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Some of the duties include: Lesson planning, group singing, learning rhythms, learning to play a simple melody on an instrument such as a recorder, learn to recognize the sound of different types of instruments and music. We would like our children to enjoy music and have fun learning all types of music and songs to sing. Drama and theatre activities can be introduced if they are within your skill set.

Classrooms typically have 12 to 15 students. In house training that aligns with our program is provided. The students are full of curiosity and the job is equally challenging as well as rewarding.
