Montessori Lower Elementary Co-Lead Teacher
Summit Montessori School seeks an experienced Lower Elementary teacher for a full-time
position beginning August 26, 2024 to accommodate the needs of its growing Lower
Elementary program. The ideal candidate will be a fully credentialed and experienced
Montessori Lower Elementary teacher who has graduated from a MACTE accredited teacher
education program. We seek a motivated individual with strong organizational and
communication skills who values working as a member of a dynamic and creative team. (Note
that a minimum of 25 hours of preparation time will be required prior to start date.)
The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of the Montessori Lower Elementary
curriculum and will be adept at managing the classroom systems (planning and record keeping,
classroom management, environmental preparation, assignment and assessment of completed
work) that support the functioning of a successful Montessori LE classroom. Candidates must
have or be willing to gain proficiency with classroom technology support systems such as
Transparent Classroom and Google Classroom.
Candidates must hold the minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and a Montessori Lower Elementary
credential. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated toward professional development, and
able to work successfully and collaboratively in a team approach.
Summit, a 27-year-old school housed in a historic Victorian mansion on a wooded campus in
Framingham, MA, currently enrolls 128 students, ages 18 months-12 years old. Summit is a
