Middle School Science Teaching Position

Faculty / Full-Time

The Sage School, Foxborough, MA

Do you enjoy teaching high school level science and have the energy, passion, and creativity to engage with gifted middle school students?

We are looking for an experienced, flexible, and approachable science teacher to join our team. This individual would be a key member of the Upper School Faculty with the potential to grow into an academic leadership position. Sage science students learn through a combination of hands-on laboratory projects, small group instruction, and project-based learning opportunities. In Upper School, students are exposed to the interconnectedness of the world they live in by exploring life at the micro and macro levels. Through studies of the molecules that define all living things, cells, and environmental science, students gain new insight into the webs and cycles that connect seemingly disparate pieces of their world. Our interdisciplinary science program makes science relevant, updated, and timely and is tightly connected to math. Students are taught and encouraged to develop a sense of independence and to pursue their passions and interests. By Grade 8, our science curriculum centers on breaking down the walls between physics, chemistry, and biology to focus on how these disciplines are inextricably linked to one another.
