The Rivers School — a 6-12 co-ed independent day school in Weston, MA, just outside Boston — seeks professionals who are looking to join a dynamic, innovative, and welcoming school community.

The Rivers School is seeking an experienced Middle School Math teacher for the start of the 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual who is interested in joining a collaborative, thoughtful group of educators who are passionate about teaching middle school.

Roles and responsibilities include: 

  • Teach 3-4 sections of middle school math (Pre-Algebra) using accelerated Open Up Resources curriculum
    • Design, plan, and deliver lessons that align with our pedagogical approach and philosophy
    • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure the curriculum appropriately challenges students while centering the middle school developmental age
  • Co-advise a group of 7-8 Middle School students
    • Serve as the point person for a group of students, overseeing their academic progress as well as their social-emotional development
    • Implement advisory curriculum/programming when necessary
  • Coach at least one season of a sport
