Andover School of Montessori is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lower Elementary Assistant for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a collaborative, child-centered environment where curiosity, independence, and a love of learning are nurtured every day. In this role, you will work alongside a lead teacher in a mixed-age classroom (grades 1–3), supporting students as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Our classrooms are dynamic and engaging, grounded in Montessori philosophy, and designed to meet each child where they are through hands-on, project-based learning.

We are looking for someone who is:
-Passionate about working with elementary-aged children
-Warm, patient, and committed to building a positive classroom community
-Excited about hands-on, project-based learning
-Flexible and responsive to the diverse needs of learners

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree required
-Prior teaching or classroom experience preferred
-Montessori experience or certification is a plus (but not required)
-Background in language literacy instruction is highly valued
-Wilson Fundations Certification is a plus

Key Responsibilities:
-Support the lead teacher with classroom management and daily routines
-Prepare and organize engaging Montessori materials
-Work with small groups and individual students
-Supervise students and help maintain a respectful, productive classroom environment
-Assist with lessons, projects, and classroom activities
