Lead Kindergarten Teacher

Waldorf School at Moraine Farm is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Kindergarten teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Key to this role is working with the foundations of Waldorf early childhood education to develop a curriculum that meets the children in a healthy, joyful, purposeful manner and lays the foundation for academic learning. The Kindergarten teacher works to build a healthy class community that is meaningful and beneficial to each child, their parents and the class collectively. In addition, the teacher serves the school through committee work and administrative responsibilities as part of the early childhood group.

We recognize there are many paths that may have prepared you for this experience such as:
● Bachelor’s Degree
● 1 – 2 years previous relevant classroom experience
● Teaching experience in a Waldorf school preferred
● Have completed, or be willing to complete Waldorf Certification/Training

Our healthy, thriving school, now in its 37th year, is a full member of AWSNA. We have approximately 110 children enrolled in Nursery through Grade 8. Grades children participate in several subject classes, including Physical Education, Music (Strings and Orchestra), Handwork, and Spanish. Our Early Childhood program includes Kindergarten, Nursery, Toddler and Parent-Child classes. Our faculty is a diverse, multi-generational group. We are a mix of both new and experienced teachers. We are committed to faculty support and development and provide ongoing mentoring and regular evaluation. We enjoy strong collaborative relationships among our Faculty, Parents, and Board.
