Job Description:

Boston University Academy is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to fill the position of Head Soccer Coach. As the Head Coach, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the soccer program, including practices, games, and team development. 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct regular practice sessions to improve players’ technical abilities, teamwork, and understanding of the game.
  • Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their individual skills.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to ensure effective coordination between the soccer program and the overall athletic department.

 Qualifications:

  • Previous soccer coaching experience, preferably at the high school or club level.
  • Sound knowledge of soccer strategies, techniques, and rules.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dedication to the academic and personal development of student-athletes.
  • Availability to work weekday afternoons and evenings to accommodate practices and games.
  • Current CPR certification preferred
  • Current valid driver’s license
  • Successful completion of background check upon job offer.

Season Schedule:

  • The soccer season will run from the end of August through mid-November.
  • The expected weekly commitment for the Head Soccer Coach is approximately 10-12 hours.
  • Practices are held from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM on weekdays.
