Winsor is  seeking a full-time physical education teacher to start in the fall of 2024. Strong candidates will have subject expertise in physical education and, ideally, at least two years of experience teaching and coaching at the middle or high school level. The position includes teaching sections of Lower School physical education, coaching two seasons, and supervising the School’s state-of-the-art fitness facility. The position may also involve organizational responsibilities, depending on the needs of the department or division. Teachers at Winsor typically advise a group of students and assume other supervisory duties, as assigned. Candidates must have an authentic commitment to motivating students in fitness and athletic skill-development both in the classroom and on the athletic fields. A dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion work, an understanding of the importance of teacher engagement in community life, and an interest in using a variety of pedagogical approaches are essential.
