St. Sebastian’s School is a vibrant, Catholic independent school serving 375 boys in grades 7-12, in the MetroWest suburbs of Boston. As a thriving school, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Information Technology to lead our growing IT team and support our mission.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategic plan aligned with the school’s overall vision and goals.
  • Oversee all aspects of the school’s technological infrastructure, including network, servers, software, cybersecurity, devices (laptops, desktops, tablets), and peripherals (printers, copiers, phones, etc).
  • Lead our IT team, providing training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Manage IT budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of emerging educational technologies and implement them to enhance the learning experience for students and faculty.
  • Partner with faculty and staff to integrate technology effectively into the curriculum and daily operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant data privacy regulations.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for all IT systems.
  • Uphold the values and mission of the school in all technology-related decisions.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role within an IT department, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful IT strategic plans.
  • Strong understanding of network management, cybersecurity principles, data security best practices, and educational technology trends.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Experience working within a budget and managing resources effectively.
