Speakers:

Jesse Roberts is SVP of Cybersecurity with Compass Cyber Guard. Jesse Roberts is an information technology & cybersecurity professional with over 20 years of experience in the field. He is a former professor of Network Engineering & Cyber Security at the New England Institute of Technology. Jesse holds multiple industry level certifications & has been invited to speak at events across the country. His presentations often include real-time live hacking demonstrations. He has also mentored students at various local schools and colleges through cybersecurity clubs over the years. In his role with Compass Cyber Guard, Jesse leads the organization’s IT Security, Digital Forensics, and Incident Response teams. He is responsible for implementing innovative techniques and strategies to drive growth and improvement in these areas.

 

Peter Fellini is a Cybersecurity Professional with Compass Cyber Guard. Peter has over 20 years of experience in a variety IT Security fields such as Ethical Hacking, Social Engineering, and Auditing. He has a Masters of Science in Education as well as industry certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Social Engineering Pentest Professional (SEPP), Offensive Security Wireless Professional (OSWP), PCI Professional (PCIP), etc. Peter has competed multiple times at DefCon’s Social Engineering Village in the SECTF challenge. He is also attending school part-time at Johnson & Wales University to become a professional craft beer brewer.

 

Patrick Laverty is a Cyber Security Professional with Compass Cyber Guard, where he excels as a penetration tester and a certified social engineer. Laverty’s rich career history includes a pivotal role as the Senior Team Lead at Social-Engineer, LLC, and a significant tenure as a Senior Security Consultant at Rapid7, both positions underscoring his profound expertise and leadership in the cybersecurity realm. Notably, Laverty is the visionary founder of the Layer8 Conference, a pioneering event dedicated to the intricacies of social engineering and cybersecurity, further complemented by an insightful podcast under the same banner. His contributions to the field, marked by a blend of technical mastery and strategic foresight, have solidified his reputation as a leading figure in navigating and fortifying against the complex landscape of cyber threats.
