Join Heads of School and board leaders from Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont for an overnight symposium in the mountains of western Maine. Spend time focusing on the shared interests, challenges and strategies for independent school leadership in northern New England.

Participants will enjoy the stunning setting of Sunday River, one of Maine’s largest resorts. There will be time to enjoy hiking, kayaking, a round of golf, or a spa afternoon followed by a warm welcome, networking, and a session on best practices in governance.

On Thursday, the group will enjoy breakfast meetings, followed by a keynote address, case studies in leadership challenges, and topical breakout sessions. We will conclude with a lunch that you can enjoy with fellow participants or take to go.

To make the most of our program, AISNE encourages Heads of School to invite an incoming or current board leader to join them. This could be a board chair or a board leader who is looking to build community with other board members in northern New England.
