Berwick Academy, a PK-12 coeducational day school located in Southern Maine seeks a World Languages Department Chair/Spanish teacher. Ideal candidates will have the ability to lead colleauges in PK-12th grade curricular efforts; the capacity to help hire, support, and provide feedback to world language teachers; and the collaborative skills to work with all department chairs as well as other academic leaders on campus. Successful candidates will have  versatility to teach all levels of Spanish, as well as an interest in developing a student-centered classroom.  A qualified candidate will show strong evidence of exceptional teaching and a keen understanding of the developmental needs of high school students.  As a member of the Upper School Faculty, candidates can expect to teach, serve as an adviso, and lead extracurricular activities.
