Position Summary
Horizons at DCD and Dedham Country Day School Camp are seeking a dedicated and effective Woodshop Specialist with an interest in working with students ages 5 – 15. The Woodshop specialist reports to Horizons and DCD Camp Directors and Assistant Directors.
Job Details
- Fun work atmosphere at a well-equipped independent school
- Camp runs from June 27-August 12, with weekly “sessions” occurring
- Horizons runs June 27 – August 5, with the same cohort
- The position is 9-4pm (there is a chance it could be 1-4 if that works best)
- Pay flexible, depending on experience, $15-25+
- Children (Ages 3-15) of Woodshop Specialist can attend camp for free
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of hand tools (coping saw, file, sandpaper) power tool knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50lbs comfortably, transport wood
- Some experience working with children or be interested in the field of teaching
- Comfortable collaborating with other instructors and willing to jump in as needed
