
Visual Media Coordinator
St. Sebastian’s School, Needham, MA
St. Sebastian’s School seeks a creative, collaborative, and motivated Visual Media Coordinator to join its Communications Department. This full-time position plays a vital role in telling the story of St. Sebastian’s through compelling visual content that reflects the School’s mission, values, and community. The Visual Media Coordinator captures and produces high-quality photo and video content that highlights daily life, events, and key moments at St. Sebastian’s. Reporting to the Director of Communications, the role works across departments to tell the School’s story through digital, print, and social channels. Some evening and weekend work is required.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Take quality photographs and videos of student activities, events, and athletics, as well as social and fundraising events for parents and alumni.
- Edit photos for placement in online channels and print publications; edit raw footage and interviews for use in videos.
- Produce engaging short-form videos for web and social use, as well as longer-form content for campaigns and special initiatives.
- Manage a database of the school’s photo and video files, including tagging images and videos for easy access, and digitize hard copies into the system as needed.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to post news stories, photo galleries, and video content to the School website.
- Contribute creative ideas and visual storytelling concepts that elevate St. Sebastian’s brand and voice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Media Production, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in photography, videography, or digital media production.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro.
- Strong photography and videography skills and a keen eye for composition, lighting, and editing; experience in sports photography and drone videography a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Creative thinker with strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Team player with a flexible, enthusiastic, and service-oriented attitude.
- Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends to cover key events and athletics.
