Position: Varsity Golf Head Coach
Location: Newton Country Day School, Newton, MA
Season: Spring 2026 (March– mid-May)
Stipend: $5,000-7,000

Position Summary
Newton Country Day School seeks a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Varsity Head Golf Coach to lead the program during the spring 2026 season. The coach will be responsible for planning practices, developing players’ skills, and fostering a competitive, inclusive team culture that reflects the mission of Sacred Heart education and Falcon Athletics.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of varsity practices and competitions with a focus on fundamentals, course management, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Mentor student-athletes of varying skill levels, encouraging courage, confidence, discipline, and personal growth.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, and the Athletics Department.
• Demonstrate flexibility and organizational skills in coordinating matches, practice facilities, and transportation.
• Willingness and ability to drive school vehicles for practices and competitions.
• Uphold and model the values of Sacred Heart education and the mission of Falcon Athletics, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all athletes.
• Complete other related duties as requested by the Director of Athletics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience playing or coaching golf (high school, collegiate, or club-level preferred).
• Familiarity with golf instruction, tournament formats, and course etiquette.
• CORI background check and fingerprinting required.
