Job Summary:
BB&N is seeking an Upper School Russian Teacher to cover a leave from November 2024 through Winter 2025. Primary responsibilities include teaching Russian classes, I to IV Honors.
The objective of the Russian program is to teach students the basics of writing, reading, speaking, and listening and bring them to proficiency by the end of the fourth year. Time will be devoted to interactive communicative tasks, from simple to intermediate. Texts, articles from the print media, Internet websites, and audio-visual materials will be used to introduce the students to Russia’s rich cultural and historical aspects.
Skills and Competencies:
The ideal candidate should have a background in Russian language instruction with a preference for native Russian speakers. In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

Excellent writing skills both in English and Russian.

Experience and willingness to use technology in the classroom preferred
Salary: $67,500.00 – $100,146.00 Prorated for a daily rate of $375.00 – $556.00

Our compensation strategy prioritizes equity of pay for faculty with similar years of teaching experience. Starting full-time salaries for the 2024-2025 school year typically range from a starting salary of $67,500 to the median 20-year teaching experience salary of $100,146.00 Both of these salaries are exclusive of additional compensation granted to faculty with relevant advanced degrees. The starting salary for any hired candidate is based on experience within salary bands.
